So it's finally here I
guess, today is my 40th birthday and of course you're
not here to help me through it. This was the roughest
one yet even without everything else and it's certainly
not something more that I need right now either.
Can we just forget about it? Maybe you can work
that out from your end if I promise to be good please?
:o)
Everyone in the family
surprised me with a big celebration dinner out on a
houseboat at Lake Lanier tonight. Even Nick flew down to
be here for me, what an absolutely fantasic family we
have here eh?
The whole time we sailed around
the lake I thought of you and how much you would have
loved being a part of it all. How I knew that even
though you would have been a bit scared and that you
most likely would have worn a life vest the whole dang
time we were out there too, we would have seen that
smile more than anything else. That beautiful smile
would have hid the fear you felt inside and all we would
have seen was the exhilaration on your face that came
from your trying something new. What an adventure it
would have been to have shared with you darling angel! I
sure wish I could have. I'd like nothing more than to
have had you there with me tonight to bring in this
awful new decade of my life.
I need you dearest
Angie. I miss you so very much and think of you all day
long and throughout the night as well.
We're
celebrating your life again this evening darling sister.
A benefit concert to help the girls as much as possible.
I hope they come out in droves once again to show how
much they all loved you. We already knew how very
special you were, but it was still so amazing to have
seen so many others that had been touched by your short
life. I look forward to seeing them all again actually.
I love and miss you so very much Angie. You've
no idea how hard it is to do this without you. I'm
trying though, please know that I am.
The light
continues to shine for you as usual dear girl. I love
you for always. |

To Taylor, Paige, and
the entire Daunt family. I am one of Angie's neighbors.
She was one of the first people I met when my family
moved in to the subdivision fours year ago. I actually
met Taylor and Paige first (then Angie was determined to
meet this person that her daughters spoke of). I was so
proud of Angie for returning to college and I watched
the girls when Angie had to attend a Saturday class or
needed time to study. My daughters refer to the girls as
one name "TaylorPaige." They each have the same name:
TaylorPaige. I will always remember Angie's laugh, her
kind spirit, dedication to her daughters, family and
friends, and her determination to create a better life
for her children. Angie was clearly very dedicated to
her daughters and I hope they will always remember that.
Whatever the girls were doing, Angie was near. If they
were in Brownies, Angie was selling cookies and camping.
If they were swimming, Angie was at the pool. My
daughters and I went to see the girls cheer and Angie
was so just so proud of her daughters! Please know that
all of us at Fall Creek hold fond memories of Angie and
we miss her dearly. We still are so shocked by all of
this. At the same time we know that our sorrow could
never compare to yours and the journey all of you must
walk through now must be so hard. We all pray for you
often. I miss the girls too. Please know that Angie was
loved by many because of how giving she was to others. I
could go into story after story that would reflect her
kindness. . . as all of us have these stories. God bless
you all and we will always be here for the girls. In
closing, I want to acknowledge the beautiful service you
held for Angie. It was such a tribute to her and a
celebration of her life. The music was wonderful and
many times Angie had said "I have to have good music
when I worship!" The service was exactly what Angie
would have wanted. See you all Sunday at the Benefit
concert. Love, Kathie |
